Many changes have occurred since my previous post, mostly because I haven’t been keeping up with this blog very well. But the biggest change is that I will be moving to South Carolina. I have two sons there. Jeff is in Central, a Clemson suburb, and David is in Seneca, having just moved there from Tallahassee. I also have a lake house in Seneca on Lake Keowee. The house has been on the vacation rental market, but I will be moving there between Thanksgiving and the end of the year (hopefully – moving will require some time). This move will put me about 20-25 minutes from both Jeff and David. But it also puts me a lot closer to my other son Mark. He is in Knoxville, which is only 4 hours away.

Welcome to my What Allan’s Doing blog!
Here I’ll be posting some of what’s going on in my life. I’m guessing I won’t post here frequently. Who cares, right?
But new publications, etc. will likely be mentiioned here as well as listed under Writings. I may post updates on my dating life as I seek to be married once again (probably nothing juicy though – not planning on anything juicy happening). Trips to visit my sons and their families could show up here as well as efforts to get a boat (probably a deckboat with a topside like a pontoon boat) for my lakehouse and maybe a different boat for duck hunting (thinking about a Gheenoe or a Sportspal/Radisson currently).
But who knows! I’m an absolute novice to a personal website. I’m also working on getting a separate blog started, but I’m having all sorts of technical issues getting it up. It will be Things Above where I’ll be posting what I’m thinking as opposed to what I’m doing.
